Our first Event in São Paulo
Event Overview
On June 8th, 2024, we hosted our very first event in São Paulo for the Genesis BJJ Academy, a significant milestone in our journey. The decision to partner with Genesis wasn’t random; it was intentional and heartfelt. Two of our sponsored athletes, Gabriel and Vitor, train at the academy, and we wanted to create something that would include not only them but also everyone in their community. Sponsoring everyone to attend a competition wasn’t feasible due to the costs, but hosting an event for the academy allowed us to make a broader impact and encourage all participants.
This event marked a new chapter for Youth Ambitions. Sponsoring individuals has always been a meaningful part of our work, but this was an opportunity to step beyond those limits. Instead of focusing on a select few, we could create something special for many. Especially for those who might not have had the chance to attend an external event. Our goal was clear: to ensure that everyone felt seen, appreciated, and motivated, and that their efforts were never overlooked.
As a self-funded organization with no large team, organizing this event came with challenges. Everything, from the planning to the budgeting, rested on a small group’s shoulders. But despite these constraints, we managed to create something extraordinary. The event took place on a vibrant street outside the academy, filled with music, bouncy castles, water slides, and a BBQ, bringing joy to everyone involved.
Reflecting on the day, our founder, Noah, shared:
"The day of the event, I went to work, but all I could think about was how it would go. With the four hour time difference, I was constantly wondering if everything was running smoothly. When I heard it was a success, I immediately started asking for photos and videos to see how it all turned out. This event embodied everything I want Youth Ambitions to stand for; strengthening friendships, creating lasting memories, and making sure no one feels left behind."

Activities and Highlights

Set on a bustling street outside the Genesis BJJ Academy, it was designed to bring people together in a relaxed and welcoming environment. For Youth Ambitions, the event was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. This event allowed us to make a tangible impact on an entire community, and it showed us the incredible potential of hosting more events like this.
Looking ahead, we’re more inspired than ever to expand our reach. We aim to host larger events, with on-site participation, to create even greater opportunities for youth to thrive. Additionally, reaching our milestone of 10,000 followers on Instagram and launching this website opens the door for us to connect with even more people worldwide. These platforms will allow us to share success stories, grow our network, and attract new opportunities to empower the youth we’re passionate about helping.
This is only the beginning. With each event, sponsorship, and story, Youth Ambitions is building a brighter future for young people around the globe.
